My name is Yoshikage Kira. I'm 33 years old. My house is in the northeast section of Morioh, where all the villas are, and I am not married. I work as an employee for the Kame Yu department stores, and I get home every day by 8 PM at the latest. I don't smoke, but I occasionally drink. I'm in bed by 11 PM, and make sure I get eight hours of sleep, no matter what. After having a glass of warm milk and doing about twenty minutes of stretches before going to bed, I usually have no problems sleeping until morning. Just like a baby, I wake up without any fatigue or stress in the morning. I was told there were no issues at my last check-up. I'm trying to explain that I'm a person who wishes to live a very quiet life. I take care not to trouble myself with any enemies, like winning and losing, that would cause me to lose sleep at night. That is how I deal with society, and I know that is what brings me happiness. Although, if I were to fight I wouldn't lose to anyone.

Who are we to tell them how they should govern themselves? I would never expect any region to change their government in such a fundamental way just so I can feel all warm and fuzzy about having an embassy with them. Would we citizens, as well as our own government be willing to do the same? I think not.

They don't have to change, they can do whatever they want in that region of theres. That does not mean, however, that we should just roll over and accept it and become embassies partners with them.

Furthermore, a rule to ensure "Loyalty". You're joking right? A Rule to ensure that their citizens are loyal to the NPO above all else? That's a very amusing concept. By its nature, it is exclusion. To ensure your citizens are loyal, you have to exclude them from participation in regions that may change that loyalty. Furthermore, I've had people I've worked with on NS be "recalled" because they are no longer perceived as being loyal. What right does the NPO have to dictate what people do? And the Rejected Realms, one of the game's freest democracies, is just going to accept that as a fact of life and build relations with them?

We don't have to like it, but it is how they govern themselves. It doesn't make them a bad region. Our government willingly (and happily) had a treaty with Lazarus while it was a dictatorship. Why didn't we object so strongly to the People's Republic of Lazarus? Heck, I served in the PRL's government while I served in our government. Nobody took issue with it.

I completely agree - nothing means we have to like them. But, at the same time, nothing is forcing us accept them for it. Just because we aligned ourselves with autocracies in the past doesn't mean we have to do it again. Furthermore, to circle back to your Lazarus example, so you were a member. Cool. That doesn't mean anything. Unlike the NPO, we don't require citizens to be approved for external citizenship. One of the luxuries of this region we take for granted I suppose. The right to self determination. Something we take for granted, but something we will happily ignore for no apparent benefit, when it comes to others. And I thought were defenders, and supposed to help people.

The PRL were defenders too. Was that the reason? Are our region's principles flexible when it makes us more powerful? Or is it merely a luxury we take for granted?
