No. The East Pacific can take one for the team instead.

Hot take: Hitler was kind of a jerk

New feature idea: pinging The East Pacific pings every nation in The East Pacific.

People will say "unpopular opinion:" and then follow it with something with that. Like no, if you think [insert actually popular and widely-held opinion they just said here] is an unpopular opinion, you need to find better friends.

Having an embassy collector is too difficult.. so many regions are red flagged and folks whine at you about having embassies with them..

r/unpopularopinions is for popular opinions.

Well, in all honesty, April Fools' Day is coming up in like 5 days (actually around a week but still), someone should seriously suggest that to Max Barry as a feature for that day and that day only.

Completely uncontroversial take: Communism is good.

Yes, as Majestia found out, but the vast majority of regions aren't considered problematic, so it would be easy for TRR to avoid those which are. I have no doubt TRR's administration would do so.

tbh i like this as an actual idea for ROs. maybe it's something they can turn off in regional controls.

you know.. I've always wondered what terrible leaders like that where like outside of work.. Was Hitler or Stalin actually cool to play cards with or go fishing by the river with when they where not committing genocide or trying to take over the world?

I’d be up for a game of Uno with Pol Pot

Yeah, and ofc if people don't like being part of mass-pinged, they can just change their settings in 'subscriptions'.

Probably not. They had very disfunctional, pathological personalities. Though maybe they could be charming at time, when they weren't angered by something someone did, or in a bad mood.

Stalin had a good sense of humor.

For example, here's a story:

Stalin came to see the prototype of a new car, he liked it and asked:
"How will this car be called?"
They replied to him:
"Rodina" (Russian for "Motherland")
He then said:
"And how much will you be selling the Motherland for?"
The car was then renamed "Pobeda" (Russian for "Victory")

You’re describing every U.S. president.

I like this one’s motto—the same phrase was in my forum sig at one point, actually.

I would only do crimes if it's good for the global proletariat.

Did the guy who named it Rodina magically disappear?

Just imagine Hitlers reaction to his fishing line breaking off on a 10 pound largemouth bass..

Hitler drove his half-neice to suicide (and quite possibly had inappropriate sexual relations with her) and Stalin was a violent drunk who also drove his second wife to suicide.
