Easy big fella ...

There's always miscreants about, patience.

Post by New sarum suppressed by Bhang Bhang Duc.

The Stories of New Sarum

Are you someone who enjoyed Bioshock but wish there was even more insanity, conflicting morals and strange characters? Well good news! I will be writing some stories about a Bioshock inspired city that hasn't collapsed and is absent of Adam, Big Daddies, Little Sisters and splicers.

Here is a little synopses of sorts

When I first saw New Sarum I thought it as a glimpse into the future, where the best and brightest of minds would gather and leave behind the world. But now I see it as nothing more than a difficult and uncomfortable stare into the depravity of the human soul and the twisted dark human mind - Matthew Alsop, resident of New Sarum.

The Stories of New Sarum will be an account of an underwater libertarian utopia heavily inspired by the city of Rapture from the Bioshock series. The stories will have a mixture of conflicting aspects of ideology and psychological horror much like Rapture. It will be set in the 1970's. Build in the late 1940's by Ryan Andrew as a libertarian utopia were artists, scientists, writers and philosophers could perform their theories and practices without the threat of censorship.

Is a man not entitled to the sweat of his brow? No says the man in Washington, it belongs to the poor! No says the man in London, it belongs to Parliament! No says the man in the Vatican, it belongs to God! No says the man in Moscow, it belongs to Everyone! - Ryan Andrews, founder of New Sarum

So far there will be 3 main characters:

Dr Averett Zerreissen, a 53 year old Nazi German scientist who fled to the city after the end of the second world war. Trained in the school of Neurology he now treats patients in the Hallervoden Private Clinic named after his mentor who also fled to New Sarum with him.

Eleanor Finch, a 37 year old American teacher and personal tutor who moved into New Sarum to teach education outside of standard curriculum after being disallowed to teach in South Carolina after breaking curriculum.

Aidan Harper, a 25 year old Irishman who came to New Sarum in hope's of finding a new life, becoming rich and making a name for himself. He is currently employed as a repairman for the cities complicated pressurized tunnels and buildings.

I'd be careful if I was you son. Nearly everyone in the city s'got something up their sleeves. Cards, drugs, blades, guns you name it. But up the other sleeve they got booze, business cards and manners. Living in a place like this is the biggest gamble you can do, and everyone who came here felt lucky. So unless you're feeling like Lady L is on your side, be careful. - Bartender of the Deep Barrel bar to a patron.

Read factbook

While I wont expect a lot of people to read this, if you do please send me a TG relating to any questions and I'll try to respond. First story will be out by March 15th.

Sorry but the RMB is not the place for your tales, though I’m sure our forums/discord would be suitable.

TWP Message Board Rules

We ask you to follow these rules: most are common sense and basic courtesy.
Remember that the
NationStates Site Rules apply at all times too.

Residents of The West Pacific are shown more leniency in regards to these rules, especially new nations.

Visitors are also welcome, but they are expected to read the rules when entering and will be shown less leniency.

Breaking these rules can result in warning, suppression, or banjection; with immediate banjection for serious offenses.

Do's

Be careful with quotes: Replace their content with -snip- when dealing with long or rule-breaking posts, but do not alter their content in any other way.

Be patient: This is a worldwide game played in people's spare time. Understand that your post might not get a response in a timely fashion.

Respect everyone: Always be courteous and respectful to your fellow players. Flaming, baiting, trolling, harassment and the like result in banjection.

Stay calm: Discussion is encouraged, but if things get heated during a debate, step away from the keyboard.

Speak English: English is the language of NationStates, so please use it or provide an English translation for your fellow regionmates.

Take time to read: If you ask a question and are directed to look it up somewhere, look it up instead of demanding a full page answer.

Welcome new nations: New nations should have their greetings and queries answered in a friendly manner and be encouraged to get involved.

Don'ts

No advertising: This includes dispatches, factbooks, polls, events, and of course recruitment, unless permission is given by the Delegate.

No asking for endorsements: Endorse other nations to be endorsed back, instead of asking in the RMB.

No double posting: You should always use the Edit button at the bottom right of your post to add more information.

No feeding the trolls: Instead of giving attention, notify the Delegate and Guardians (you can ping in the Discord Server) and wait for them to act.

No inappropriate content: Examples include but are certainly not limited to homophobia, racism, sexism, fascism, nazism, and non-PG-13 content.

No puppetwanking: Don't use puppets to ban evade, like your own posts, or create false conversations.

No real life politics: We're here to have fun playing NationStates, not to get stressed in political discussions.

No roleplaying: We have dedicated roleplay areas in offsite platforms, you can read more in the Map & Roleplay dispatch.

No rules-lawyering: If you are unhappy with a Delegate or Guardian decision, telegram them instead of complaining in the RMB.

No spamming: Messages with meaningless content will be suppressed, with immediate banjection for accounts created for spam.

Remember, the Delegate and Guardians have final say on what is and isn't acceptable.

You really should come into our discord. We're having a festival that starts later today and one of the contests is writing! Should be right up your alley!

Rugby time again - they’ve just finished that dirge also known as the English national anthem.

Ireland for the win!

The grandest empire and Gastenburg

Sorry, just checking, but is this the schedule for today's TWPRWC matches?

Nieubasria vs. Kurabis
Teralyon vs. Giovanniland
Dilber vs. Fujai
Dalimbar vs. Hertfordshire and Jammbo
Croblade vs. Bran Astor
Sensorland vs. Westwind

Westwind, Bran Astor, and Kurabis

Well I am not picking the winning teams this weekend. Ireland undone by their own mistakes and huge English pressure.

Wait, Ireland actually lost? Sounds like a shock, if ever I've heard one.

Hertfordshire and Jammbo wrote:Wait, Ireland actually lost? Sounds like a shock, if ever I've heard one.

England came out of the blocks fast, their line speed in defence was impressive and they caused Murray and Sexton to have their worst games ever in the Irish shirt.

Ah, I see. Guess I should be happy about that.

For those that don't: If you worked in a mad-max style office environment, what would you be looting?

(Only one joke about "stealing a co-workers heart" unless you married them thanks.

I'll just apply this to school. Styluses, pens, pencils, hair ties, paper, their braincells.
I'm the sleepy lazy person in the class who used to be bigbrain but now is dead inside lol.
Oh and I steal their time as well, I'm a very good time waster.

DMoWAR: Sensorland

To Giovanniland: Congratulations on a race well-run! I look forward to your speakership.
To Recuecn: You're a great DMoCA and I'm sure you'll continue to be. It's been fantastic to work with you in CA.
To Gryphonian Alliance: Your passion for FA is fantastic. I'm sure your influence will continue to serve the ministry well.

On my own victory: I want to thank The unified missourtama states for a good contest. I look forward to serving TWP in the capacity of DMoWAR. I will be busy over the next week, but I am excited to work with minister Big Bad Badger over my term to build this ministry into something robust and advance our WA goals.

Dalimbar wrote:Further, our Delegate Bran Astor has notified Cabinet, Guardians and the region that Dilber will now serve as Minister of Foreign Affairs. After the conclusion of his reign as Delegate, The Holy Principality of Saint Mark served in the position of acting Minister of Foreign Affairs with dedication, valour and merit. He will continue to serve the region as Guardian and Emperor Emeritus, and we continue to value his advice and perspective on all matters that affect our region. Dilber has proven himself to be an exceptional candidate for permanent Foreign Minister through his experience, commitment and drive. We look forward to him promoting West Pacifican values and interests across the world.

Thank you Halo for all your service to TWP, and Dilber, I'm excited for your tenure.
