The Commune of Aruma is a huge, genial nation, renowned for its deadly medical pandemics, lack of airports, and ban on automobiles. The compassionate population of 946 million Arumans enjoy extensive civil rights and enjoy a level of social equality free from the usual accompanying government corruption.

The large, liberal government prioritizes Education, with Industry, Environment, and Social Policy also on the agenda, while International Aid and Law & Order receive no funds. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Jovem. The average income tax rate is 45.8%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The strong Aruman economy, worth 46.3 trillion folhas a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is a slick, highly efficient, highly specialized black market in Gambling, Basket Weaving, Book Publishing, and Tourism. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is 48,923 folhas, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Getting an infected tattoo is considered a rite of passage in Aruma, artists are renowned for their ability to make art pieces out of thin air, courses in how to boil water are popular for formerly microwave-reliant Arumans, and all prisons have been eliminated. Crime, especially youth-related, is a major problem, perhaps because of the country's complete lack of prisons. Aruma's national animal is the dolphin, which frolics freely in the nation's sparkling oceans.

Aruma is ranked 327,760^th in the world and 74^th in Rosaria for Lowest Crime Rates, with 33.65 law-abiding acts per hour.
