The Colony of Drauritius is a massive, socially progressive nation, notable for its compulsory military service, irreverence towards religion, and complete absence of social welfare. The hard-nosed, hard-working population of 2.215 billion Drauritiusians enjoy some of the most opulent lifestyles in the region, unless they are unemployed or working-class, in which case they are variously starving to death or crippled by easily preventable diseases.

The minute, liberal, pro-business government, or what there is of one, is effectively ruled by the Department of Defense, with International Aid and Spirituality not funded at all. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 4.4%.

The strong Drauritiusian economy, worth 149 trillion Drauritian rupees a year, is driven almost entirely by the private sector, which is broadly diversified and led by the Uranium Mining industry, with significant contributions from Arms Manufacturing, Pizza Delivery, and Automobile Manufacturing. Average income is 67,591 Drauritian rupees, but there is a vast disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 435,635 per year while the poor average 4,237, a ratio of 102 to 1.

Anti-vaxxers claim that injected children are prone to psychotic breaks when they see the 'Queen of Diamonds' playing card, the country's famous rainforests are being bulldozed by the mining industry, scientists regularly clone human beings for research purposes, and builders across Drauritius are blocked up with orders for new public loos. Crime is a major problem, probably because of the absence of a police force. Drauritius's national animal is the Dodo, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation.

Drauritius is ranked 281,115^th in the world and 115^th in Dritish Empire for Most Compassionate Citizens, scoring 36.69 on the Kitten Softness Rating.
