The Republic of Dregoon is a colossal, socially progressive nation, remarkable for its irreverence towards religion. The quiet, industrious population of 2.592 billion Dregoonians have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

The medium-sized government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Education, and Law & Order. The average income tax rate is 19.9%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The Dregoonian economy, worth 104 trillion golds a year, is fairly diversified and led by the Beef-Based Agriculture industry, with major contributions from Furniture Restoration, Automobile Manufacturing, and Cheese Exports. State-owned companies are common. Average income is 40,241 golds, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 2.7 times as much as the poorest.

TV shows must meet strict ethnicity quotas, scientists regularly clone human beings for research purposes, surveillance cameras are banned, and libraries are now installed with jacuzzis and mini-bars. Crime is relatively low, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Dregoon's national animal is the dregoon.

Dregoon is ranked 214,349^th in the world and 6^th in Dragon for Highest Disposable Incomes, with 32,233.23 Standard Monetary Units.
