The Republic of Galinea is a titanic, safe nation, notable for its complete lack of prisons, irreverence towards religion, and devotion to social welfare. The compassionate, hard-working, democratic population of 15.398 billion Galineans have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

The medium-sized government prioritizes Welfare, with Education, Healthcare, and Social Policy also on the agenda, while Spirituality is ignored. The average income tax rate is 37.0%.

The Galinean economy, worth 732 trillion Charlots a year, is broadly diversified and led by the Woodchip Exports industry, with major contributions from Automobile Manufacturing, Gambling, and Uranium Mining. State-owned companies are reasonably common. Average income is 47,555 Charlots, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 3.1 times as much as the poorest.

The nation's official head of religious affairs is an atheist, same-sex marriages are increasingly common, the country's famous rainforests are being bulldozed by the mining industry, and young children are regularly seen wagering pocket money at blackjack tables. Crime is totally unknown. Galinea's national animal is the Chicken, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation.

Galinea is ranked 270,773^rd in the world and 2^nd in Iberia for Most Advanced Law Enforcement, scoring 603.28 on the Orwell Orderliness Index.
