The Republic of Jaderica is a mammoth, safe nation, remarkable for its state-planned economy and stringent health and safety legislation. The democratic population of 7.938 billion Jadericans are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

The large, socially-minded government juggles the competing demands of Education, Law & Order, and Defense. The average income tax rate is 47.5%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The sizeable but stagnant Jaderican economy, worth 66.4 trillion francs a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is a slick, highly efficient, quite specialized black market in Retail, Soda Sales, Tourism, and Furniture Restoration. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is 8,361 francs, and distributed extremely evenly, with practically no difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Tourists from around the world come to visit the country's famous rainforests, genetic researchers have been expelled, a large-scale revitalization of the education system is underway, and explosive diarrhoea is not just a colorful phrase. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to a very well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Jaderica's national animal is the dolphin, which frolics freely in the nation's sparkling oceans.

Jaderica is ranked 275,591^st in the world and 2^nd in Tanabiku Galaxy for Most Advanced Law Enforcement, scoring 533.04 on the Orwell Orderliness Index.
