The United Kingdom of Labsoro is a titanic, socially progressive nation, remarkable for its burgeoning wolf population. The compassionate population of 10.043 billion Labsoroans are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

The medium-sized, socially-minded government juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defense, and Healthcare. The average income tax rate is 31.6%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The large but underdeveloped Labsoroan economy, worth 239 trillion guilders a year, is quite specialized and mostly made up of the Trout Farming industry, with significant contributions from Cheese Exports and Furniture Restoration. State-owned companies are common. Average income is 23,807 guilders, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Military barracks resemble five-star hotels, childhood friends of Leader are living it large abroad at the taxpayers' expense, armed security details escort librarians to their homes, and hundreds of subterranean tunnels are being built as part of "Project Morlock". Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Labsoro's national animal is the wolf, which can occasionally be seen sifting through garbage in the nation's cities.

Labsoro is ranked 322,404^th in the world and 53^rd in England for Largest Publishing Industry, scoring -10.58 on the Bella Potter Productivity e-Index.
