The democratic, devout population of 8.89 billion Qoherysians are free to do what they want with their own bodies, and vote for whomever they like in elections; if they go into business, however, they are regulated to within an inch of their lives.

The medium-sized, socially-minded government juggles the competing demands of Welfare, Spirituality, and Defense. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Qoher. The average income tax rate is 33.0%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The large but underdeveloped Qoherysian economy, worth 385 trillion kamas a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. Maumiqism has been named as Qoherys's national religion, saying "don't do anything that Bann Araphos vos Nahyl wouldn't do" doesn't exclude a great deal, organ donation rates are among the lowest in the region, and the meaning of life was recently discovered in the patch notes for Version 1.42. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown. Qoherys's national animal is the phoenix and its national religion is Maumiqism.
