The Republic of TAKTIC-48 is a titanic, efficient nation, renowned for its restrictive gun laws and spontaneously combusting cars. The hard-working population of 10.49 billion TAKTIC-48ians are free to succeed or fail in life on their own merits; the successful tend to enjoy an opulent (but moralistic) lifestyle, while the failures can be seen crowding out most jails.

The tiny, moralistic, pro-business government is primarily concerned with Defense, with Law & Order, Public Transport, and Administration also on the agenda, while International Aid and Welfare are ignored. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 8.2%.

The very strong TAKTIC-48ian economy, worth 644 trillion kronor a year, is fairly diversified and led by the Gambling industry, with major contributions from Woodchip Exports, Arms Manufacturing, and Furniture Restoration. Average income is 61,442 kronor, but there is a large disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 268,659 per year while the poor average 8,864, a ratio of 30.3 to 1.

Crime is a problem, with the police force struggling against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. TAKTIC-48's national animal is the leopard, which can occasionally be seen sifting through garbage in the nation's cities.

TAKTIC-48 is ranked 154,433^rd in the world and 1^st in Hand confederacy for Largest Black Market, with 1.07 trillion Standard Monetary Units.
