The Queendom of Tiele is a mammoth, efficient nation, remarkable for its burgeoning tiger population. The hard-nosed, hard-working, democratic population of 8.556 billion Tieleans are either ruled by a sleek, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.

The minute, pro-business government, or what there is of one, juggles the competing demands of Education, Defense, and Law & Order. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 5.1%.

The thriving Tielean economy, worth 625 trillion marks a year, is driven almost entirely by the private sector, which is broadly diversified and led by the Beef-Based Agriculture industry, with major contributions from Pizza Delivery, Soda Sales, and Furniture Restoration. Average income is 73,071 marks, but there is a significant disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 258,650 per year while the poor average 14,905, a ratio of 17.4 to 1.

A large-scale revitalization of the education system is underway. Crime is a problem, with the police force struggling against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. Tiele's national animal is the tiger.

Tiele is ranked 269,134^th in the world and 1^st in Darklight Planet for Most Advanced Law Enforcement, scoring 618.42 on the Orwell Orderliness Index.
