What remains of the region of Jilin collapses before the advancing eastern armies of the People republic of the great east. The Jentorian peninsula is now isolated from the rest of the territories controlled by the NEST, as the Golden Army forces withdraw northeastward in a tactical retreat to take shelter behind the fortifications of Lower Heilongjiang. The eastern forces of the New roman siberia are taking position as well in the region of Zhukotsk, further north, to prepare to counter the communist advance if it were to break through Lower Heilongjiang.

The Dictatorship of Jentor endured a painful blow in its political and military core after the sudden and unexpected death of its supreme leader, Dictator Gasav. As a charismatic leader and centralizer of power within the dictatorship, the notorious nationalist dictator had a long history of wars of conquest against the Dictatorship of Literallyeverything, before leaving the Asian Defensive and Economical Pact to join the North-Eastern Security Treaty and confront the communist superpower that is the PRGE. The Commonwealth of the great east reacted immediately by implementing the terms of the Agreements of Shanghai in order to assume administration and stability of the territory by itself. The People republic of the great east also took advantage of the resulting military disorder to launch its invasion from the city of Dandong. For now, the provinces of Pyongan-buto and Chagang-do have been swarmed by thousands of bombs, followed by contingents in numbers too large to be effectively contained by the border forts. What is already known as the "scarlet tide" is spreading across the territory.

The vanguard of the People republic of the great east rushed across the borders of Lower Heilongjiang, according specific attention to the weakest areas within the powerful wall of fortifications built for months by the nations of the North-Eastern Security Treaty, but continuing to throw its battalions against all opposing lines. Demonstrating uniformity and raging determination, the scarlet tide of the People republic of the great east is advancing under heavy fire from the defenders. Their objective? To inspire absolute fear and dread, evocating a crual punishment for those responsible for the attack on Beijing.

Soldiers of the communist superpower are dying by the thousands on the fortifications of Lower Heilongjiang with each passing day, but the soldiers keep multiplying. The skies in the northeast are as red as the blood of the battlefields, barely hidden by the flames of incendiary bombs raining on every square metre of countryside. Fortunately for the Recreated irish republic, the ground and air defences guarding the ruins of Harbin managed to slow down the communist advance considerably, making the enemy pay the price of a hundred lives for every gained muddy ditch.

Further east, in contrast, the People republic of the great east almost managed to penetrate the suburbs of Mudanjiang. Due to a major and unexpected assault from Vladivostok, the enemy vanguard was pushed back. Having joined the bulk of the slowly but surely advancing forces in Lower Heilongjiang, the communist vanguard is now preparing to make its way to Vladivostok itself in order to secure the flanks of its advance and deprive the Recreated irish republic of its largest regional port. Now it is the original territory of the nation that is being targeted by the scarlet tide.

On the western front, in the region of Xinjiang, the PRGE was caught off guard but still managed to take swift action. While the armies of the New roman siberia enter Xinjiang freely through the territory of Boda, several military forces belonging to the very same nation enter Xinjiang from the northern border of the Kingdom of Himalaya nation. Some of the defending troops mobilised across the region to repel the invasion in the north and defend the multiple military factories supplying the main war effort have now turned back and are heading south to repel the invasion from the Kingdom of the Himalaya nation. The advance of the New roman siberia, more powerful than its military strength was esteemed to be, is confronted around Tacheng, the main defence of the city of Karamay where the inhabitants of Altay have taken refuge. The encounter, although smaller in size and strength than the eastern front, was just as savage and murderous. The two armies inter-massacred and their respective remnants had to retreat to avoid the collapse of their front lines. The People republic of the great east retained control of Tacheng despite heavy damage inflicted. In the south, the city of Kashgar was taken before the armies of the PRGE could descend and defend it. A new front line is therefore being held from the city of Aksou.

Between the western and eastern fronts lies the northern front, where the Free Land of Xilin gol, famous for its thousand and one ploys of resistance against invaders, continues to be overtaken by the course of events. In the south of the anarchist nation, where the armies of the People republic of the great east are concentrated, the civilian population is no more numerous than the military forces deployed there. No risk is taken by the government of Xi'an, every town is bombed, every village solidly occupied and every countryside burnt with gas. The anarchist militias and their warlords are, according to the latest news, gathering in the north to organise a better defence. For the time being, the cities of Bayannuur, Baotou, Hohhot and Ulan Chaab have fallen under communist control.

On the southern front, the stranglehold of the Asian Defensive and Economical Pact is tightening around the Kingdom of Kroaka, whose armed forces are managing to hold the front lines with increasing difficulty. The great Asian alliance is slowly but surely gaining ground on the waters, and Kroakan land borders require more and more human and material resources with each attempted incursion by the enemy. Without help from its allies, the time of the Kingdom of Kroaka will become more and more limited.

On the northern border, hostilities between the Admiralty of Alnorud and the Kingdom of Kroaka continue as violent as ever. The front lines, which had been immovable until now, are starting to move again. The armed forces of Alnorud pushed back the Kroakan army to the continental border of the province of Perlis, notably thanks to the support of the air force from the United Socialist States of Quaratka. However, new armed incursions took place in the Alnorudian provinces of Yala and Narathiwat. These incursions armed with flame-throwers and incendiary gas received air support from the Guardian Birds to raze the jungle and forests blocking the way north. As hostilities intersect on the border of the Kroakan peninsula, the fortress island of Langkawi continues to hold.

On the southern border, the advance of Kroaka's forces remains to their advantage, the only winning side they have in the war. After a slowdown made necessary by the union of the coalition forces against its armies, the southern offensive has regained all its vigour, galvanised by the recent assassination of the King of Pahang and the resurgence of patriotic and nationalist sentiment within the kingdom. Thanks to the air support of the new version of the Guardian Birds just out of the airfield and the hasty departure of the support forces sent by the People's Republic of Donestk, Kroaka is advancing more easily and quickly through the Free Republic of Angrunia, working to rout what remains of their army. While the region of Bengkulu falls under the superiority of the invader, it is from now on the city of Palembang which is targeted and heavily bombarded day and night by the Guardian Birds, more able than ever to resist and escape the enemy's air force coming from Quaratka. But Angrunia has not said its last word, as new contingents are being mobilised by the government to deal with the emergency and new weapons ready to fight have recently arrived in the province of Lampung.

It is far to the west, in the heart of the ocean, that a new front is opening up. The Allied States of Mol morgatopia have launched part of their fleet to attack the Republic of the Maldives, the autonomous protectorate set up by the Kingdom of Kroaka more than a year ago for military and political purposes. Although the plan to make it the largest military base on the Asian continent has not yet been realised, the large archipelago is perfectly capable of serving as the last bastion for the government and armed forces of Kroaka in the scenario of a total defeat within their metropolitan territory. The simultaneous and multilateral attack organized by Mol morgatopia allowed the northern islands to be approached, forcing Kroaka's western fleet to retreat at the same time, but the attack on the main fortress of Male, a major fortified point and the nerve centre of the republic, ended in failure, as Mol morgatopia's navy was forced to cancel its attack after the submarine units had attacked their fleet from behind in the confrontation with the defensive fleet. With the official opening of hostilities between the Asian Defensive and Economical Pact and the Maldives, the local state of alert was raised to maximum.

However, it is on the northern front that the combat remains uneven. After landing on the island of Palawan, the armed forces of the Commonwealth of the Great East set about organising a defence towards both north and south, gradually occupying the fortifications and all the localities in the region by pushing back the ships of the Asian Defensive and Economical Pact while enduring the bombing. The Dìyù zhī guāng and its escort fleet sowed destruction on the border of Commonwealth-controlled waters, ravaging in particular the ships closest to the Confederacy of Tiongkok. The missiles of Tiongkok have so far represented a difficulty for the Commonwealth, having already damaged a dozen ships. The large armada became more aggressive in response, ordering that part of the ground-to-ground missiles used on the Behemoth class cruisers and frigates be used to target the fortified coasts of Tiongkok under heavy fire to ensure that the targets were hit.

Having secured the very territory of Palawan, isolating the People's Republic of Donestk and offering significant protection to its defensive flank, the great armada of the Commonwealth of the great east is advancing towards the south of Spratlys Island, hitherto under the political control of Tiongkok. Contrary to previous advances, the Commonwealth seems to have judged that enough defensive islands further north were under their control, as these ones are meticulously bombarded far more than is necessary, these attacks being intended to completely annihilate any infrastructure rather than neutralising it in order to recover them. The black colossuses of the Commonwealth are thus advancing southwards, without it being clear whether they intends to join the Kingdom of Kroaka or have other plans.

On the northern front, around the People's Republic of Donestk, the assembled forces of the Commonwealth of the great east take action. First of all, long-range missiles opened hostilities, targeting strongholds from the secondary fleets gathered around the coasts. Donestk's land and naval military forces were, however, prepared for this attack and mobilised with great efficiency, enabling them to avoid suffering too much damage as a result of these attacks. Then came the stealth drones, until then unused and concealed by the Commonwealth. Across the coast and across northern Donestk, they spread poisonous gas over cities, chemical gas over crops and farms, napalm and incendiary bombs through forests and military camps. The aircraft's trajectories appear to be random in order to spread disorder and fear among the army and the population, but remain planned enough in advance to dodge most of the defensive counter-attacks.

While Donestk's infrastructure and landscape are being assaulted from all sides, some of the ships laying siege to the western, northern and eastern coasts are organising another massive and simultaneous landing, oscillating between a strategy of cannon fodder and striking at strategic points. The Commonwealth military units, equipped with gas masks and anti-fire suits, apply the orders to massacre all Donestkian soldiers. In accordance with Commonwealth warnings, only national surrender will be accepted, no individual ones. The rest of the ships maintain their positions in order to cope with Operation Eagle and Mouse launched by the United Socialist States of Quaratka, preventing the Commonwealth's military aviation from taking advantage of the situation. The anti-aircraft defences, however, managed to keep the attackers at bay after the first assaults resulted in the destruction of most of the aircrafts attempting to damage the aircrafts.

In parallel with the Second Great Asian War, which is growing in scale and violence, another conflict is ending in Asia: the civil war for the control of South Iran. After a few days of siege, the advance into the ruins of Shiraz by the coalition forces put an end to the existence of the United Dictatorship of South Iran, which most of the leaders were executed or imprisoned. In accordance with the Bipartite South Iran agreements signed between the Armed Republic of South Iran and the South Iranese Soviet Socialist Republic, the division of the territory was carried out and the terms of the agreements were put in place, supervised on each side by the United Socialist States of Quaratka and the Holy Imperial Realms of Last Velneria. Administrative and political details will follow in the coming days and will be implemented in the next few weeks of transition, but it is now considered that the civil war in South Iran is over. A few nests of resistance still exist in remote localities, but will be reduced to impotence very soon.

Within the Second Great Asian War, however, the Recreated irish republic is once again demonstrating great military innovation by formalising the production and use of military armaments belonging to the Golden Era II class. These new armaments, consisting of new land, naval and air war machines, are more powerful and more efficient than the previous models, although suffering from their own disadvantages. Already used in the defence of the territory against the invasion of the People republic of the great east and no doubt very soon to be used in the war against the nations of the Asian Defensive and Economical Pact, these armaments allow the Recreated irish republic to distinguish itself from other militaries.

Another notable event was that many military troops from the Armed Republic of Fidos water dish joined the armed forces of Literallyeverythingistan, a symbol of the military cooperation between the two nations and their preparation for war. Literallyeverythingistan seems now to be ready to take on the nations that forced its population into exile in the past.

Aside from the military and war affairs, several political and diplomatic events are on the page of internationality. The most notable event is undoubtedly the birth of the state of Ordia-Gujarat, now official and inaugurated by a cooperation between the Recreated irish republic and the Holy Imperial Realms of Last Velneria. What was previously a self-governing colony declared by the government of the Recreated irish republic is now a nation-state governed in equal parts by an Irish and a Velnerian administration, with the integration of the native population into the government. The name of Ordia-Gujarat was chosen as a reminder of the historical and cultural primacy of the ancient and medieval Velnerian territory which was located there under the name of "Ordia Mandate," and the provincial name of the colony previously established by the Recreated irish republic as Gujarat to symbolise its dual nature and contemporary relevance. Ordia-Gujarat was declared a neutral nation and territory in the Second Great Asian War and could not attack or be attacked unless it constituted a legal and political offence in the eyes of its triple government.

The assassination of the King of Pahang, recognised and attributed to an initiative of the People's Republic of Donestk, has been denounced and condemned throughout the Asian continent. The New roman siberia and the Recreated irish republic used this action as a casus-belli against Donestk and declared war on them, allowing the joining of the two existing great Asian conflicts to form the Second Great Asian War. The Admiralty of Alnorud also publicly condemned the regicide, but continues to cooperate fully with the People's Republic of Donestk in the war effort against their common enemy.

Several nations across the country have ceased to trade with the People republic of the great east and have placed an embargo on its commercial products, weakening the external ground supply of the communist superpower, which trade routes mostly pass through Literallyeverythingistan. Among these nations, the Holy Imperial Realms of Last Velneria and The order of st eustachios, the two members of the "great five" of Asian international trade, remain the most prosperous in these times of continental warfare. There are many rumours of agreements between these nations and the Commonwealth of the great east, but The order of st eustachios continues to refrain from officially entering the war, while the Holy Imperial Realms of Last Velneria have ordered the maintenance of their trading empire's neutrality by doubling their business with the nations of the Asian Defensive and Economical Pact.

The death of the Dictator Gasav of the Dictatorship of Jentor generated a wave of Asian sympathy despite the country's tumultuous history and its actions deemed reprehensible by many. The state funeral organised by the government under the administration of the Commonwealth of the great east attracted the presence of many Asian representatives who were welcomed as diplomats. The Recreated irish republic, the Confederacy of Tiongkok, the People's Republic of Donestk and The order of st eustachios sent their condolences without sending representatives due to the proximity of the conflict between the People republic of the great east and the North-Eastern Security Treaty. The Allied States of Duull, on the other hand, sent their four leaders to offer personal condolences to the family of the dictator, despite the current situation. Local Commonwealth forces welcomed them with diplomatic immunity.

The New roman siberia kicked off the festivities of late 2021 with the opening of the nationwide Winter Festival. The festivities consisted mainly of hot chocolate drinks, festive parades to the glory of the Tzar Supreme, and the savage torture of war prisoners from Literallyeverythingistan. These actions were immediately denounced and condemned by the People's Republic of Donestk and several other Asian nations, once more accusing the New roman siberia of war crimes and crimes against humanity.

Living in a world at war, however, does not prevent most Asian nations and their people from continuing their daily lives. In the spheres of international politics, several notable events are taking place, although under the radar of most news channels due to the major importance of the Second Great Asian War.

The People's Republic of Northern si nam has expressed its wish to open up diplomatically to the rest of Asia, now that the recent unification of the nation has enabled it to gain a sea coast and a larger population. As the government has grown more and more over the weeks, several Asian nations have spoken out on the situation. The New roman siberia and the Recreated irish republic do not recognise the legitimacy of the current government, while the Admiralty of Alnorud, the State of Literallyeverythingistan, the Confederation of Tiongkok, the People's Republic of Donestk, the Free Republic of Angrunia and the Allied States of Duull have acknowledged the current government.

Following the signing of the agreements between the Holy Imperial Realms of Last Velneria and the Recreated irish republic concerning the creation of Ordia-Gujarat, Fourth Velnerian Prince Navalis Antiqua-Ferae and Lord Balmon of Galba have recently arrived to take up their political and administrative positions in the government of the new state. They were welcomed by Solma Miyagu, one of the two leaders sent from the Recreated irish republic to complete the council of leaders. With this diplomatic junction of the western and eastern Asian Great Powers, there is no doubt that Ordia-Gujarat is in a position to become an economic and commercial centre by benefiting from both the Pan-Asian Highway by land and the maritime commercial empire of the Holy Imperial Realms.

The United Socialist States of Quaratka are undergoing many measures, mixing the distant affairs of war raging in the far east with the closer affairs concerning Western Asia. The war is worrying even in the west, and the government has had to comfort its people with new morale and security. New economic inflows have been invested domestically, and exports abroad have been reduced except to allied nations. While polls conducted by the government indicate that a majority of the population, including that of the region of Baluchistan, support the current Quaratkan government, it is a minority that favours the country's participation in the war. However, general satisfaction is maintained by the important development program in Baluchistan, where road and rail transport networks are being improved in parallel with a new mining industry.

An important piece of information was also confirmed a few days ago: The government of The order of st eustachios has officially discovered agricultural tractor technology. While the idea of abandoning a national agricultural industry based entirely on the mighty hoe is much talked-about, a trade agreement has been signed with the People's Republic of Donestk to purchase many examples of this pioneering technology. The Duchy of Trapezous and the Duchy of Arretia seem to be the regions benefiting most from these new technologies.

As tradition dictates, the rival and now warring nations of the Recreated irish republic and the United Socialist States of Quaratka are confronting each other by literary and media means. Yanu Ita, author of the Recreated irish republic internationally renowned for producing a significant amount of pro-government and pro-Great Leadress literature on her own, has just published a new book entitled "War: Why we fight" and made it available to the general public. The government of Quaratka responded by promoting a documentary film entitled "Why the People fight" to demonstrate the reality of the actions of the North-Eastern Security Treaty on the battlefield, encouraging their population to continue the fight. The Recreated irish republic responded again by presenting the documentary as a "satyrical mockumentary" in the words of their ambassador. For now, Asian nations are still struggling to determine which of the two productions is the more propagandistic.

Held 1st February 2021 to commemorate the 18th Anniversary of Atlantis.

To Commemorate the 18th Anniversary of Atlantis, Winter Games have been proposed to bring nations sporting heroes together to foster friendship and peace between their nations. The Games will begin on 1st February 2021.

The Host
The Games will take place at the snow-enveloped Lemming Mountains in The Teachings of Lemmingtopias. The Lemming Mountains, in the North of the country, have for millennia been considered sacred ground and are dotted with monasteries, temples, academies, hermitages and thousands of shrines to the Hellenic gods and Lemmingtopian mystic spirits. The largest complex is the Winter Palace, which will serve as a backdrop to the sporting events and which is the min residence of His Holiness the Lemming Sage outside of the Capital. The Winter Palace is also the resting place of the mummified body of the Divine and Perpetual Emperor Lomax during the winter months. Medal recipients and select dignitaries will be invited to a private audience with the Emperor in his mausoleum.

Athletes, Dignitaries and spectators will arrive at the Lomax Winter Station after a journey from any major city or airport in Lemmingtopias. From here, a funicular railway takes you high above the station to the Winter Palace Complex. Limited access to the Helipad can also be arranged on request. Here, Athletes will be welcome by the Lemming Sage prior to being transported to their team facilities and the athlete village. Rooms are available at the Winter Palace for foreign dignitaries. With the exception of a few pensions near to the winter palace, Hotels for spectators are available at any of the nearby Mountain Towns, most being around one hour's transportation to the site of the Games by rail or coach.

The ancient stone amphitheater has been extended with temporary seating to allow for the Opening and Closing Ceremonies while modern venues for the sports already exist and have been upgraded for the occasion. To ensure the safety of the ancient and sacred site, special routes have been laid out for spectators to follow with free tickets required to access the Winter Palace Complex or any of the nearby monasteries and temples. Temporary facilities have been installed to make the area comfortable for visitors as well as to ensure the safety of the site. Some mountain peaks have also been made available for visitor climbing.

Quaratkan officials have received an interesting request from their ally in Central Asia. The government of Rajifiskistan is seeking refuge from widespread governmental collapse. After internal discussion (with Velneria, roleplay admin) it has been decided Quaratka couldn’t support the whole allied nation. Instead a protectorate has been established in the city of Almaty and surrounding area. The protectorate will formally be under control of the old government, but most of the finances and politics will be run by Quaratkans. Attempts to quell the chaos are underway right now.

The point of this alliance is be safe in Warzone Asia and to be more developed economically.
