Very well. After N-Day, I'll see about getting one going. I don't know Lemming's scorination system but I'm sure I can find something like it. If that goes well, we can do Atlantivision as well.

In the next weeks I'm going to spend some recruitment stamps, see about bringing in some fresh faces into the region maybe.

I’m back! Sorry for the absence!

Congrats to our new Governor.

(Sorry for absence guys).

I used Xscorinate for the Winter Games and NSFS 3 for the Football cup.

Good to see you back, Lemming! I was hoping you'd wander back in at some point after you CTE'ed. I was shuddering to think of the RP fallout from the government in Lomapolis collapsing... The current admin in Madrocea isn't into saber rattling or territorial conquests, so it would be a bloody civil war just oustide our borders. Our corporations would happily intervene as they do in all the little quasi-nations and exclaves setting up their ACZ's and all that nastiness. It would be real rough on everybody and only the worst of us would prosper from it... I was going to hold off for another month or five before actually recognizing that you didn't exist any more though, in-RP.

Thankfully that didn't happen. :)

I bookmarked a thread on the scorinators. We should get on Discord at some point and come up with something.

Yes, that sounds like a nightmare. I imagine Lemmingtopias would of split into hundreds of mini states in the absence of Lomapolis holding it together.

Yup, i need to get back on discord. Gonna need to retrieve my account after i changed phone.

We're looking for a third Archon/successor. A native with a long history of making a home in this region would be preferred. Ideally someone who will be active and participate in and help organize events and help increase activity. WA membership encouraged, but not required. No raiders. TG me to apply.

All nations of Atlantis are encouraged to send articles (subject to editing for grammar/spelling/TOS adherence/etc.) to Voice of Atlantis beginning today, news of what is happening in your part of the region. Tell us of your political situations, major events, struggles and challenges. Two paragraphs of reasonable size per article preferred (exceptions will be allowed based on quality of content.) Every week there will be news from every corner of Atlantis that submits, posted as a dispatch.

I've been examining an historical period of lemmingtopias and Atlantis itself, perhaps I'll write an intro of that into a couple of paragraphs.

In modern news

Today marks 25 years since the death of the Lemming Sage. He was never formally replaced by the 'second' Lemming Sage due to the latter's 'Inconvenient Journey' (the way the media tends to describe the Sage's decision upon being named 'second' to take a spirit walk throughout Lemmingtopias, a walk that has continued to this day). He only briefly returned to Lomapolis for the funeral of the Lemming Sage and disappeared before a plan to capture him and force him to be inaugurated was carried out.

Without the Second Lemming Sage being named Lemming Sage, the College of Sages have never been able to name a new second, until today. An ancient precedent allows for a Third Sage to be be declared after 25 years without a formal Lemming Sage. Such an appointment would allow the appointee to carry out the functions of the Sage.

In practice, this will be difficult due to a long-standing deadlock in the College between two candidates. Various interventions have been discussed in order to temporarily remedy the deadlock. In a nation with no central government elections, efforts to break or maintain the deadlock has taken on an increasingly political bent.

First, the Sunshine Bay delegation may be persuaded to switch support if tougher action was taken against the Sunshine/Tropican Islands. An unnamed source from the Sunshine Bay government said it would not lift its orders to support the Southern School candidate unless genuine action was taken. "Bombing an area conveniently evacuated in the days before and then sending Lemmingtopian engineers to rebuild it wont cut it here. There needs to be real consequences for the occupiers." *

On the other hand, the delegation of the Sunshine Islands itself (representing mixed heritage Tropican-Lemmingtopians), could be persuaded to temporarily switch sides if the government put more effort into a diplomatic process.

One of the 5 princely states, all having a delegation of one and all supporting the Northern candidate, could be paid to switch sides through infrastructure funding, though this may have serious medium term consequences by alienating the others. It may require all five to agree to avoid this, which is likely to be prohibitively expensive.

The Kingdom of Leonia, a large autonomous state, does not and will not participate in the college. But some lawyers have mooted the creation of a delegation anyway, similar to the Delegation of the Sunshine Islands. The creation of such a shadow delegation would have dire consequences for the relations between Leonia and Lemmingtopias. But some are willing for that price to be paid.

Finally, there is precedent for a third candidate to emerge temporarily. The theory is that the third candidate would illicit support from various religious entities around Lemmingtopias, gradually prompting delegations to endorse them. Upon failing to overtake the existent candidates, they would name their support for one of the main candidates and retire from the college, encouraging delegations to switch with less political consequences than doing so now. The risk is that the third candidate would fail to lose, thereby plunging the myriad of religious orders of Lemmintopias into chaos.

Of course, many people find the idea of using the nomination of a holy and sacred religious office as a proxy for political and economic conflicts reprehensible. Any remedy will have consequences of public opinion.

Two people whose views we wont hear from are the candidates themselves, as the surest way for a candidate to lose their candidacy is to campaign for themselves.

*This journal is legally required to state that the existence of this so called 'Demolition Strategy', in which the Lemmingtopian government co-ordinates with Tropican authorities to feign an attack on the Tropican Islands to appease hardliners, then rebuilds the complex into a modern district to satisfy everyone else, does not exist.
