Well, it's the same thing for dogs practically.

Some species of wild canines are known for forming specialized colonies or communities (pacts) and they hunt down smaller prey.

I agree that cats are sucessful predators and they can have quite the impact on defenseless wildlife. However, humans have also had a detrimental impact on wildlife. Humans are perhaps one of the worst killing machines on the planet. Those articles were decent. However compare that to how many biological species have gone extinct thanks to human activity & human activity.

Humans are the ones who introduced cats to regions of the world that they would have never seen if it weren't for humans. Humans are quite good at forcing defenseless species to extinction and cats do have quick reflexes but the only thing they have is their natural reflexes. Meanwhile, humans have a massive advantage over prey than cats do. Thanks to their technologically advanced tools and hunting weapons. Cats have none of those superior items to help them hunt. Cats have no advantage other than their quick reflexes and their retractable claws. Humans are by far a bigger threat.

So, why do people try to blame cats for the extinction of birds, rodents and native species when humans have forced species to extinction 3× faster than any member of the family felidae.

Cat owners can find a way to monitor their own cat while still continuing to own them as pets (as one of the articles suggested)

Well, yeah true. I never said that the cats on the island were a problem. I was just saying that the number of cats on the island is pretty high.

I don't waste food or buy single use items or prepackaged items. Viruses do not eat or buy things.
