The Issue
Your cousin’s adored pet Tik Tok User has died.
The Debate
“It would mean the world to me to have my loss properly recognised,” sobs your cousin, dabbing tears away with a gold-embroidered handkerchief. “My poor little baby deserves a state funeral. Imagine... people crying in the streets, a band playing funeral dirges on golden tubas, and my dearest little Matilda McFluff immortalised in a memorial forever... you’d do it for your own pets, wouldn’t you?”
Accept
“Y’know how many people this could feed?” asks roadkill-chef Dorothy Lannister, sniffing at the carcass, and licking her lips. “And y’know how many people you’re takin’ cash away from with a big state funeral? Burying a Tik Tok User is a waste of good meat, and a waste of money. Y’should buy up all the dead pets, butcher them for meat, and donate the food to the poor and homeless.”
Accept
“No need to bury the wee beastie!” yells eccentric special effects expert Pachacuti Sanders. “I’ve been playing around a lot with taxidermy and animatronics, and I reckon if we fix up damage to the bodywork, apply some preservatives to stop the rot, install some motors and simple AI subroutines, and the little critter will be good as new! Also, why stop with pets? You miss your grandma, right? Let my company work its magic, and look who’s back!”

Yes, we found out how effective are Centers for disease control recently. And they actually claim that they were prepared.
Now imagine new pathogen, for which nobody knows anything about. And if there is vaccine available, it is not very effective weapon. Recently mass produced vaccines? You mean after 1.5 years. Now imagine that you have something with the lethality of ebola, but can be spread via air. Imagine the same number of infected, but 90% lethality. That's why it is never wise to follow this path. Bullet kills the person you are pointing the gun at. Pathogens don't discriminate.

This month, your update staff has ventured down to newly appointed Chief Executive Hakketomat's lair to ask him a few questions.
Porflox: Let's start off with how you discovered XKI. Was there a particular reason you decided to come here?
Hakke: I discovered XKI when I received a recruitment telegram. Can't say from whom, since it's disputed. Aersoldorf is very certain that he sent me one while I'm certain I got it from Cerb. I liked the telegram from XKI the best, although that's also a foggy reason since I don't really know what exactly made me choose XKI. I think I took a look at the region and its size. The mentioning of TITO also interested me. But then, I wasn't too interested in joining TITO when I first arrived
Porflox: What prompted you to start getting more active in regional affairs then?
Hakke: A change came about when non-TITO citizens of XKI were asked to take part in the Lazarus mission of 2015. I joined in and I've mainly kept to TITO until Dominion of Compassion asked me to become his deputy senator. This was a few months prior to my first successful senator running in January 2017. Markanite interested me in joining The Islands Party and helped me run for a seat on the Co9.
Porflox: How many years have you been in XKI, and is there someone in particular who helped you through your time?
Hakke: I've been in XKI for as long as I've been on NS, a bit more than 6 years. At first when I joined the forum, Ardreas was assigned as a buddy to me so he introduced me about here and there. The forum seemed overwhelming, but once I inserted myself into the culture of Taco Island I built a friendship with Aersoldorf. Aersoldorf is perhaps one of my closest friends in XKI along with Markanite and Woonsocket. Mark got me fully introduced to the political system. I worked closely with Woon when he was CE. While Aersoldorf has been close to me, I can't forget Ater Nox either. He has also helped me in getting settled in Taco Island.
That is just the civilian side of my time in XKI. In TITO, it has always been Kanta Hame who has been central. He is the first one I met when I attended update for the first time. He also was appointed Tactical Officer shortly afterwards and so, he would lead me into missions. During my time in TITO, I started eyeing up the Executive Officer position which was held by Louisistan as well as Barry. When I was appointed Executive Officer, I of course sought Louisistan's input whenever I needed some advice. Louis was my inspiration for that role. Since then, TITO Command has been the pillar of my existence in XKI and TITO. So yeah, I can't say that I have anyone in particular.
Porflox: Now that you've been appointed CE, what are some things you want to get done?
Hakke: My goals for XKI is to have silver cities and statues built in my honour! All school students will do the pledge of allegiance to both XKI and me every morning! XKI will also become a vampire haven!
Porflox:Well on that note, thanks for the interview! I'm sure XKI will flourish under your silver and vampiric oversight.
Hakke: You are very welcome!

90% lethalithy means it won't spread as far. Unless it doesn't kill very fast. Then, still, it won't spread very far because it is too lethal. The infected don't have time to spread the infection. And quarantine/ lockdown are way stricter when mortality rate is higher.
See Ebola.
https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ebola
If it has long incubation period, but it is lethal, then it will spread and then people will start dying.
And yes, right. Ebola with the spreading abilities of the Spanish flu for example...
Lockdown, you say? And 2 years of lockdown...exactly what you will eat, when there is nobody to harvest the crops?
We are one serious disease away from being seriously decimated. Black Death and Spanish Flu are good examples.
Dead chat lol
Only men were around after this. And I don't hug men. Obvious reasons.
Be hugged and hug back...But it's easy when you are woman.
Thepeopl and Tank fish
Means? I thought how to react on Thepeopl comment. But she said it before I have made up my mind.
Welcome to Eastern Europe. One doesn't simply hug another man here. And one doesn't simply smile without a reason.
People perceive this as either there is something wrong with you or you are laughing at them.
BTW, on the map of the world as description for Eastern Europe there is a remark - blunt.
