The Republic of Kamleng is a very large, socially progressive nation, remarkable for its burgeoning banks population. The hard-working, democratic population of 245 million Kamlengians are either ruled by a sleek, efficient government or a conglomerate of multinational corporations; it's difficult to tell which.

The relatively small, pro-business government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Law & Order, and Welfare. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 8.6%.

The thriving Kamlengian economy, worth 13.9 trillion francs a year, is broadly diversified and led by the Cheese Exports industry, with major contributions from Information Technology, Book Publishing, and Automobile Manufacturing. Average income is 56,759 francs, but there is a significant disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 200,909 per year while the poor average 11,577, a ratio of 17.4 to 1.

Crime is a problem, with the police force struggling against a lack of funding and a high mortality rate. Kamleng's national animal is the banks, which can occasionally be seen sifting through garbage in the nation's cities.

Kamleng is ranked 55,222^nd in the world and 1^st in Astris for Largest Publishing Industry, scoring 4,938.31 on the Bella Potter Productivity e-Index.
