The Dark Light of Qurn is a mammoth, pleasant nation, notable for its burgeoning Kitsune population. The hard-working population of 8.179 billion Qurnians have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

The relatively small government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Law & Order, and Healthcare. The average income tax rate is 16.5%.

The Qurnian economy, worth 378 trillion Delta Eagles a year, is led by the Soda Sales industry, with major contributions from Basket Weaving, Book Publishing, and Woodchip Exports. Average income is 46,223 Delta Eagles, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 3.6 times as much as the poorest.

Crime is relatively low, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Qurn's national animal is the Kitsune.

Qurn is ranked 82,199^th in the world and 6^th in France for Most Rebellious Youth, scoring zero on the Stark-Dean Displacement Index.
