The hard-nosed, cynical, humorless population of 7.588 billion Trigrians are ruled with an iron fist by the dictatorship government, which ensures that no-one outside the party gets too rich. In their personal lives, however, citizens are relatively unoppressed; it remains to be seen whether this is because the government genuinely cares about its people, or if it hasn't gotten around to stamping out civil rights yet.

The relatively small, corrupt, socially-minded government is primarily concerned with Defense, although Law & Order, Administration, and Education are also considered important, while Spirituality and International Aid are ignored. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Ouismond. The average income tax rate is 39.8%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The all-consuming Trigrian economy, worth a remarkable 1,509 trillion Rhens a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is an enormous, deeply entrenched, fairly diversified black market in Arms Manufacturing, Information Technology, Retail, and Uranium Mining. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is an impressive 198,874 Rhens, and distributed extremely evenly, with practically no difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

Badminton was recently banned due to 'unacceptable violence' inherent to the game, maximum security fish farms leave caged salmon pining for the fjords, worried-looking neonatal nurses are being deployed in place of SWAT teams during dangerous drug busts, and fixing attendance at women's matches is a matter of "when they go low, we go high... funding". Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a capable police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Trigri's national animal is the Trigrin Bear, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its national religion is Secular.
