The Empire of Trois is a mid-sized, genial nation, remarkable for its absence of drug laws. The democratic, devout population of 56 million Troisians enjoy a sensible mix of personal and economic freedoms, while the political process is open and the people's right to vote held sacrosanct.

The relatively small government juggles the competing demands of Welfare, Healthcare, and Education. The average income tax rate is 11.7%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The Troisian economy, worth 2.83 trillion deniers a year, is broadly diversified and led by the Door-to-door Insurance Sales industry, with major contributions from Cheese Exports, Soda Sales, and Woodchip Exports. State-owned companies are reasonably common. Average income is 50,569 deniers, and evenly distributed, with the richest citizens earning only 2.7 times as much as the poorest.

Citizens are barcoded to keep track of their movements, the alarmingly racist TV show 'Bigtopians Say the Darndest Things' is a hit, it is illegal to make racist remarks in public, and political shows are fit for purpose. Crime is almost non-existent. Trois's national animal is the lion, which can occasionally be seen sifting through garbage in the nation's cities.

Trois is ranked 304,469^th in the world and 1,284^th in the Outback for Largest Black Market, with 14.0 billion Standard Monetary Units.
