Love Commune

Love Commune was a uniquely interesting colony. Founded after the fall of Love Kingdom, Love Commune, by its very name, served to ridicule our enemies, baiting those inclined to socialism to assault the colony of a region which they so accused of Fascism in total ignorance of the constitutional ban on such ideology.

The garrison at Love Commune had been greatly reduced, following attrition and the redeployment of forces; the once mid-sized forces of the Kolonial Korps had been stripped to the bare minimum. The enemies of the Empire did not let their chance slip and launched an assault on the colony with a seemingly small force, leaving the Kolonial Korps outnumbered yet still in the region.

Seeing the fall of the colony, Archduke Scheinenland quickly requested the intervention of Reichswehr forces to retake the colony, but logistical complications delayed the assault for days as the battered units of the Colonial Korps still held on in the colony. When the Reichswehr finally launched its assault, the enemies of the Empire unveiled their ambush, quickly reinforcing the region and repulsing the assault, forcing the Reichswehr to retreat. Subsequently, Lord Mayor Vespeck gave the order to evacuate, finally withdrawing from the region as a small rearguard covered the evacuation.

The fall of Love Commune finally revealed what had grown increasingly obvious for the members of the Kolonial Korps, the Colonial projected needed reform. The current system of small frontier colonial garissons is being overwhelmed by large coalitions of enemies is neither profitable nor sustainable. Agreeing with the members of the Kolonial Korps, Minister of Foreign Affairs Scheinenland has requested that Freiherr Vespeck begin to work on a more permanent solution to the Colonial problem.
