The Corporate state of Repland is a huge, efficient nation, notable for its complete lack of prisons, compulsory military service, and complete absence of social welfare. The hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 795 million Replandians are ruled with an iron fist by the corrupt, dictatorship government, which oppresses anyone who isn't on the board of a Fortune 500 company. Large corporations tend to be above the law, and use their financial clout to gain ever-increasing government benefits at the expense of the poor and unemployed.

The tiny, moralistic, pro-business, well-organized government prioritizes Defense, although Law & Order, Administration, and Industry are also considered important, while Spirituality and International Aid receive no funds. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of New Amsterdam. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 6.1%.

The powerhouse Replandian economy, worth 74.8 trillion Euros a year, is driven almost entirely by the private sector, which is broadly diversified and led by the Uranium Mining industry, with major contributions from Information Technology, Gambling, and Arms Manufacturing. Average income is 94,029 Euros, but there is an enormous disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 513,621 per year while the poor average 8,806, a ratio of 58.3 to 1.

The government has cut its subsidies for all special interest groups, back-alley circumcision clinics are popping up all over the nation, a Europeia Tourist Association survey has rated Repland #1 for number twos, and children as young as twelve are conscripted into the armed forces. Crime is a problem, perhaps because of the country's complete lack of prisons. Repland's national animal is the Lion, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to widespread deforestation.

Repland is ranked 118,473rd in the world and 853rd in Europeia for Most Cultured, scoring 65 on the Snufflebottom-Wiggendum Pentatonic Scale.
