It’s crazy that the Syrian Civil War has basically been a never ending stalemate for 13 years that ended up just getting abruptly ended in a matter of days.
And why did the rebels never think of simply capturing all the major cities this whole time? Were they stupid as well?

I don't even shave between National Guard drills because if they want active duty standards they can put me on active duty orders, no pay = no soldier. Can't say I'd stick around if I was some likely underpaid Syrian soldier that is now unpaid whilst facing every kind of rebel element under the sun.

Cekan, are you dumb? The brave mujahideen have a strict ethical code of conduct and stealing is not allowed. Assad hadn't been responding to their texts about giving new territory for the past 6 years so they went to Aleppo to inquire in person. Unable to find anyone in the government there they decided to drive to Damascus to personally ask Assad, yet when they arrived he had fled the country to avoid talking to them. So rude, I can understand why they call him a tyrant.
Nothing like spending more than a year learning a product and development area only to be ripped off the team with one week's notice and thrown at a product you know absolutely nothing about and are expected to begin pumping out code almost immediately on. After finding out we are getting 0% raises, management/executives are still getting their bonuses (in a bonus program only they are eligible for), and now this, very nearly handed in my two weeks yesterday.
