On Sunday 2nd August, 2026 at 13:20, Charlesian leader Narrus Maschint appeared for a routine speech and caught the entire population off guard, declaring that Greater Charles will no longer govern the Maschint Alliance and will pass on leadership to The Disputed Territories of Debhatastan. After this statement he was dragged off stage by the Charlesian Minister of Defence for 15 minutes and was brought back on. However Maschint had not changed his statement and stood by his decision to abdicate.

The crowd of roughly 7000 people that had gathered at Caimorria square outside the houses of parliament broke into a pandemonium of shouts and cries which quickly turned into protests and full-scale riots. Police forces were called and started to contain the riots while Narrus Maschint was rushed away by security personnel to a safer location while this went on.

After 20 minutes police could not stop the riots and we're quickly being outnumbered as thousands of others joined the riots from nearby buildings. The Charlesian military was forced to take actions as around 3000 armed soldiers rushed to the scene in helicopters and tanks to stop the rioters. By now there were roughly 11,000 protesters and 4000 police and military personnel at the scene.

By this point everyone inside the houses of parliament had been evacuated to a safe location. At 14:10, rioters used explosives such as grenades and petrol bombs likely sourced from black market dealers to break through parliament's bulletproof glass windows and thick walls and ran loose into the houses of parliament, destroying roughly €150,000 worth of artefacts in the building.

While military thought they were winning against the people, they had actually been fleeing to the houses of parliament and subsequently had Broken into parliament's weapons vaults, giving them access to €450,000 worth of guns and explosives. The rioters made their way out to the military and laid a barage of bullets onto the military, injuring roughly 750 men and killing 300.

The riots had now quickly turned into civil war and military fell back and escaped. There were now over 20,000 rioters all flocking to Caimorria square and were making their way to the harbour which was only 10 minutes away from the houses of parliament. The government had called all the nations of Maschint Alliance and neighbouring regions of The Great Eastern Fields and The Free United Peoples of Kyrzman to send military forces to assist with the civil war.

As of 14:30, rioters in Caimorria have started to make their way to the harbour while military forces have retreated to wait for further backup to arrive. The location of Narrus Maschint and the Charlesian parliament is unknown.

At 18:54, Debhatastan's 30,000 troops landed at a military camp just outside Caimorria. With the new Debhatastanic troops plus an extra 5000 from the Charlesian army the combined forces marched to the border of Caimorria, where black smoke climbing high above the city skyline and the orange glow of burning buildings illuminated the streets. The 40,000 troops were split into three groups.

The first was "Team Papa", which was allocated 5500 men who were to survey the perimeter of the city and alert the other teams and the government if any rioters escaped the city limits.

The second was "Team Alfa", which had the majority of troops at 32,000 men who would go straight into the action with tanks, guns and bombs to fight back the rioters and hopefully deter them from causing any more damage.

The third was "Team November", which had the remaining 2500 soldiers who would travel via helicopter to warships in the Caimorria harbour area which had escaped earlier on who would stop anyone leaving a make sure they weren't rioters trying to escape the city to cause damage elsewhere. These troops were also soon to be aided by an aircraft carrier from New Searpent who could assist in scoping out the city from above.

At 19:13, the teams split up, Team Papa split themselves into two and started the patrol around the border, Team Alfa headed for Caimorria Centre and the harbour and Team November made it to a nearby airfield where they boarded the helicopters and started flying over Caimorria.

It took Team Alfa 35 minutes to reach Caimorria Centre in tanks and military transporters. Along the way they encountered many small groups of protesters armed with weapons such as baseball bats and axes or with small handguns, however most retreated to their households upon seeing the military. When the team reached Caimorria Square the squad leader, James Rackner, stated, "It was like a post-apocalyptic wasteland. There wasn't a soul in sight, just the smouldering remains of burnt objects and the occasional gun or petrol bomb laying discarded on the ground. There was signs of movement in the houses of parliament, however we had to get to Caimorria Harbour to contain anything that might be happening while Team November make their way there".

By this point, Team Papa had not encountered any people on the outskirts of Caimorria and were still waiting for any signs of movement from the people. They reported that they let around 100 soldiers enter the city bounds to check for people, but all the streets were empty. It was as if everyone in the city had disappeared.
Team November reached the navy warships at 19:41 and it took them another 20 minutes to get everything sorted on the boats. The aircraft carrier from New Searpent arrived at 19:50 and started preparing aircraft to be launched.

Team Alfa reached Caimorria Harbour at 20:00 and finally understood where everyone was. Troop accounts said there was somewhere between 50,000-150,000 people packed into the harbour, where rioters were smashing windows of vessels and throwing explosives at their hulls. The team could see a vessel trying to escape filling with water and heard the occasional splash as civillians were knocked off the edge of piers and walkways in the crowds of people. Suddenly a bystander noticed the team and called out to everyone alerting them of their prescence.

Some people started towards them and the team prepared to push them away, however a larger crowd burst through from behind them, charging at them with all kinds of weaponry including heavy duty rifles, handguns, official army guns and bombs. The team knew this was no longer riots and was now a full-scale civil war. The Charlesian army which was stationed at the front of the group opened fire first, before a number of bullets came towards themselves. They charged forwards and collided with the rioters, hitting them with bayonets and gunfire. bombs started flying upwards and into the battlezone, explosions rumbled through the ground and the sound of people splashing into the water to try and escape the chaos rang through everyone's ears.

Team Papa heard of the commotion via the helicopters that were now circling the conflict, occasionally raining bullets on rioters from above. Some tried to enter the city but were stopped as they needed to stay outside to protect the city from civillians entering or from rioters leaving.
Team November started to send ships from outside the Caimorria River into the harbour to aid in firing at the harbour and planes were now leaving the aircraft carrier. The government understood that they were outnumbered and allowed them to send bombs from aircraft into the sea of rioters. One after another huge explosions were heard from the aircraft's bombs until a louder crash was heard. All the teams watched as the Palm of Caimorria Casino, standing at 120 storeys tall, collapsed from a stray bomb from an aircraft. The collapse sent rubble flying across the city as many were swept from their feet. Team Alfa was forced to pull back as the rioters seemed to only grow in numbers with every shot fired. Helicopters were sent into the heart of the city and were able to drag the remaining 12,000 soldiers from the fight, leaving 20,000 missing.

While this was going on, New Searpent had sent 40,000 troops from their capital which would take another hour to arrive at the scene. Troops waited at Caimorria to arrive, however the New Searpent soldiers were reportedly shot down by anti-aircraft defences in a rural town in Greater Charles, causing many to wonder if the riots had spread outside of Caimorria and across the nation.

As of 20:45, no more troops have entered Caimorria and the remainder of them have settled in the nearby port of Gangridge 44km south of Caimorria. Team November have taken their warships out of Caimorria river and left a few for a naval blockade of the channel to prevent any ships from entering while the others are being transported to Newgroll in the south-east of Greater Charles for repairs. It seems that Caimorria has been left to the rioters for now until Narrus Maschint can rally up enough military to aid them in recapturing it, as most of the Charlesian forces are located deep within eastern Greater Charles or Cloudembourg. Maschint's location is still unknown.

On 4th August, 2026 at 13:39, Southern Jamestown's government reached out to Narrus Maschint stating they would be sending in a constant stream of supply drops in food and first aid to Greater Charles as a thank you for granting them their land and power back in April. They also sent approximately 100,000 troops via land towards Greater Charles via Cloudembourg.

Narrus Maschint has sent a short message from wherever he is staying right now saying:

The government has sent a message out to all residents in 7 major cities which are experiencing intense riots giving them the location of shelters which have been established for those in peril who can't access basic neccesities like food and water. This has also lead to a huge investment in public transport making quicker and cheaper train and bus journeys for those who cannot make it there themselves.

The Charlesian and Searpentian navies have been working hard in the Caimorria channel while thousands of rioters have tried to escape the city to cause chaos past the land blockades made by the military. Greater Charles needs to ensure that no Anti-Charlesians escape into the CharlesBurg Bay, as even a small bit of shrapnel or a landed boat on soil in Great Charleston could spark the nations to re-establish their war with eachother. The Charlesians and Charlesiantics still have a fierce rivalry and never signed peace with one another after the war almost 2 years ago.

Cloudembourg, a nation that was practically a puppet of Greater Charles since it was made independent, has closed it's border with Greater Charles entirely, stating that "If a civil war is going on on the other side of that border, we have no civillian involvement. The only access to the nation will be only for military personnel and those with special government permission." This could be the start of Cloudembourg's distancing from Greater Charles, possibly even leaning towards and alliance with Great Charleston.
