Loading...Are faeries mortal? Are goblins mortal?! Oh dear. This sounds like a question we should to take before the Seelie and Unseelie Courts, respectively.
Regardless, how would you feel about a nice set of metal automatic wings? Think of the efficiency! Think of the heights you could soar! Think of the chrome plating!
I believe faeries are mortal. (After just a little fairy godmother training, it became clear that I might die of boredom.) I believe goblins may theoretically be immortal, but in practice die in combat. (This may explain why you decided to get into another line of work.)
As for "automatic wings", I shudder at the thought of bugs in their programming, and the catastrophic damage they might inflict. The damage that the organic sorts of bugs might inflict when flying at high velocity is not to be laughed off either.
If goblins are indeed immortal, of course they have terrible memories. I've never seen any exlanation of how immortals can have anything but finite memories.

Ya know, we've been here for 2½ weeks, with few signs of activity, and no signs of food. There's a holiday coming up, and I think I might have seen some figgy pudding in Ship's fridge. I think I'll see how my Shipmates are doing, and wish them all a Happy Winter Festival, or whatever they celebrate to make the cold bearable. I wish you, Goblin, as well as any regional inhabitants currently in hiding for fear that we might be killer robots, the happiest of Holidays. And I look forward to traveling in the New Year somewhere where the residents are not too frightened of their own tech to say hello to visitors.
