Yes, mostly we are (if you meant Marxism-Leninism) .

Yes, Marxism-Leninism.

Is this region pretty active? What do you all do here?

That's right.

However, our region isn't all that active. We have only a few active people, and we often don't know how to fill the "dead air."

Sidlearctica wrote:Thanks. I remembered NationStates after 14 years and thought I'd dip in. Are people mostly MLs here?

14 years pretty long time.
Is this your alternate account or your main account that you are now using

It's my main, but because I forgot the emails for all my alts (NationStates can look it up by IP too, but I've moved several times in the last decade and a half, so no luck there), it's also my only account now.

Anyone read any good Marxist books or articles lately? I'll always stan for Michael Hudson. His book on bronze age debt is really neat. Basically, periodic debt cancellation is required for the metabolism of agricultural societies, otherwise labor gets tied up servicing debts to financial oligarchs rather than creating capital for society. It fits nicely with the 5000-year longue durée timeline.

It seems you bring with you a rich history.

As for Marxist works, I have studied Stalin’s complete collected works, and I recently began reading the selected works of the Chinese Marxist and trade unionist Liu Shaoqi.

I agree with the need to write off debts, particularly in the agricultural sector.
This resonates with Socialist and even Christian ideals — and perhaps even with the logic of economic development. Free people work best, unlike those held in thrall by oligarchies.

Admittedly, it is perhaps just as important to understand why the agricultural sector repeatedly falls into debt; it might make sense to structure it around self-sufficiency, or else to fully subsidize and support it in order to keep food prices low for the population.
But on a broader level, I think it would be right to move away from the very system that fosters an oligarchy which enslaves agriculture and other producers.

Hey, comrades,

Could some of you other leaders endorse my nation? I'm grinding challenges and need the endorsements, and I would also appreciate it thoroughly and will even endorse you back if you'd like.

Of course, Comrade. But I cannot endorse you when I go to your country's page. Maybe you did not join WA yet? If you do, then I will endorse, no problem.

I would gladly endorse you, but it is necessary that you join the World Assembly first, comrade.
