We’ve only had elections for a leader, and co-leader and are stuck with the old government until Mother Bear either returns or ceases to exist. Since Mother Bear has appeared to have activated vacation mode, that leaves for about a month for elections before proper changes can be made. We should probably have a list of senators prepared and a system for these dealing with senators if this crisis happens again or even a new crisis emerges.

Well I dont think a senatorial election is necessary because I think I am very clear with who I want, and seem very qualified. Also, I would like to appoint you advisor of Eastern Europe, it seems you have a great view on everything, and I would like you to bring your opinions to the table. Lastly, some time in the future we will create a system, so we can deal with these kinds of crisis.

So we're going by roman senate instead of presidential senate

Shouldn’t we at least have a few elected officials in the senate to ensure that nations do have a say in who’s in the senate? Giving all the power to the WA delegate can be dangerous (if the WA delegate is a raider or power hungry).

Maybe like Supreme Courts Justices that we can elect one for every type of nation

Well, I do want to be democratic, so we will hold elections. Old Falinar would you like to organize the elections?

I will hold them in a week (August 9th), so as to give time. I will postpone it if necessary.

Yes, but I don’t think that there should be a limit on nation types. There can be more than one good candidate in a category, and if the nations choose two nations of the same type (inoffensive centrist democracy for example, if both Djudasis and Federal Republic of socialists were to run for election), and they both have a substantial amount of votes, then they should be elected since the nations preferred them over the other candidates. There aren’t any restrictions with being a senator besides of course being a resident of Eastern Europe. Maricoen, how many senators would you say is good?

I would like about 4-6 senators. I believe that more than one of the same government type may be senator because it wouldn't be fair, and I believe Mother Bear's way of governing the region is outdated and not effective. I would definitely like to appoint Zeiling, Santa Selena, and Djudasis to the senate. The rest of the senators are up to the voting.

There will be five senators and one ‘backup’ senator, if a senator is not present. I suggest that the reserve senator and one of the seats are appointed by the president, and the four seats open for election. As I can understand Maricoen, you have already guaranteed senatorial seats to East Filemeria, Djudasis, and Island Dolista. You should probably give the seats to the former two, as Island Dolista, Santa Selena, and Zeiling have the best odds of winning seats (no offence meant for any nations). Unless any wish to renounce their seats?

We should have some senators as diplomats to other regions

Good idea
