Regional Poll • Do you want to take part in the Regional Winter Olympic Games?

The United Commonwealths of The Washington Federation wrote:Starting on December 21st, our Regional Winter Olympics will take place! Just like last time, our embassy partners, as well as our jellyfish comrades, can join! We'll be allowing at most 64 nations to participate, 20 of which have been claimed by those who sent a bid to host, so act fast! However, your nation must be 1 billion population or above to be able to sign up, though you won't have to do anything after the fact due the Olympics being simulated.

Voting opened 2 days 14 hours ago and will close . Open to all large nations. You cannot vote as you are not logged in.

America the Greater wrote:I'd like to address the problems we're clearly having with communication as a region:

Communication is, in my opinion, largely the responsibility of the Prime Minister. If people see poor communication as a problem, I think that's 100% my fault, and something I clearly need to address. As a result, I will be making an official calendar tonight which government officials will be able to access and update with details about what they're currently up to. This will help address the problem of inter-governmental communication as well as the other underlying problem of poor planning, which again is no one's fault but mine. I will also be making a point of sending out much more regular updates about what's currently going on, pursuant to NUCL's suggestion.

I really appreciate everyone reaching out and giving us feedback, and please continue to do so. I hope to address any lingering problems on my end, and I do want to stress that these bigger problems are largely on me, so please don't blame other members the Cabinet or anyone else for that. Coordinating the government and opening lines of communication is the primary role of the Prime Minister, and I've let myself get too stuck in the weeds to reach out and let people know what's happening. I'll work to improve from here on out.

Excellent idea

Let's start a trend, shall we?

NBB Government Activity over the last week (December 1st - December 8th):

Culture: As you've seen in the regional TG, Claibornia just concluded a very productive RP meeting wherein we decided on a lot of the fine details for RP. We'd like to have claims sorted out by Monday, so expect news tomorrow or Tuesday regarding the last steps before RP fully reopens. Also, Washfed is working on the Regional Winter Olympics, which takes a monumental amount of work and gets a monumental amount of participation in return. Rogue River has essentially a full schedule for our Christmas celebration worked out, so expect news on that front by tomorrow.

Domestic Affairs: Ardeyn and Western Arba Fir have been working really hard to gather data on approval, and the reports they've come up with have been really nice. I plan to do further analysis on our regional podcast sometime in the near future.

Foreign Affairs: Faralried is absolutely crushing it as MoFA - that job has got to be the most labor-intensive one in the region, as he's constantly in chats with officials from other regions, and he still makes time to run our BLF. We're currently in the midst of considering some changes to our general foreign policy outlook, as well as debating on consulates and embassies multiple times per week. Faralried also typically writes multiple articles for TSR, which is a big help to me in particular. Venesia Grande has been handling our diplomats quite well, consistently providing us with fully-written messages to send out to regions announcing our events, as well as generally giving us handy updates on other regions.

Regional Court: Mjau is currently reviewing a court challenge which I submitted about a recent law that I feel is unconstitutional.

Parliament: We've got a Voting Session about to start! TK has come back from a period of real-life business to handle a new Voting Session with legislation contributed by quite a few individuals.

Deputy Prime Minister: Gine's been doing an awesome job getting the map ready to go. He's filled in biomes, resources, all kinds of stuff. Major props to Gine for this, it's a huge help to all of us and by no means is it an easy task.

Prime Minister: I'm currently working on preparing for potentially four separate new episodes of the regional podcast. Two that I can definitely announce are an episode with Forest, discussing their region's unique history and their relations with NBB throughout the years, as they're one of our oldest embassies and closest friends. Before that, we've got an episode on the new Sinkers, the Outback and the Plains of Perdition, featuring Grea Kriopia of Europeia and Dalimbar of The West Pacific. I'm looking forward to bringing you more updates on that. Further, we just released The Social Reformer, for which I wrote the majority of articles, conducted two interviews, and implemented all of the formatting. Further, on the TSR front, I'm working to invite quite a few new contributors, which I'm very excited about. I'm also regularly in group chats with representatives of other regions, as well as contributing to every Committee in order to help shape our region's policy. I also regularly pop up in the Parliament Discord channel in order to give my opinion on upcoming legislation. Finally, I've just submitted a legal complaint to the Regional Court on the constitutionality of Warba's Election Commission Amendment, as I want to ensure that all of our laws follow the correct legal process and we don't have any potential unfairness in our elections.

Basically, we're all super busy, and I want to start communicating that more often. It's finals week for me, so I may not be quite as active as usual, but I'll still be checking in and you can always send me a telegram or reach out on Discord if you've got any questions.

and we've got a government calendar in order to keep us all up to date with what's going on! I've got a recurring reminder to both send out update posts here and update the calendar every week, so we shouldn't miss nearly as much little stuff anymore.

Thank you for taking our input seriously. Hopefully the calendar fixes the communication issue.

that's what I'm here for :) genuinely, anytime people have concerns or complaints, I'm always happy to hear them. I care a lot about the region so I want to make sure everyone is having the best experience possible

So many questions: Which half?--Front, back, top, bottom, inside, outside? And you two talking about the same halves? I'd say the odd are 50/50. But since I'm not part of the Bureau of Completely Accurate Statistics, I 100% don't know.
