The Fish of the North of ForFishing is a colossal, efficient nation, ruled by Nemo with an iron fist, and renowned for its barren, inhospitable landscape, infamous sell-swords, and ban on automobiles. The hard-nosed, cynical, humorless population of 4.016 billion ForFishingians are kept under strict control by the oppressive government, which measures its success by the nation's GDP and refers to individual citizens as "human resources."

The medium-sized, corrupt, moralistic, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Industry, Law & Order, and Administration. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Fish City. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 74.4%.

The frighteningly efficient ForFishingian economy, worth 915 trillion Fish Coins a year, is fairly diversified and mostly comprised of black market activity, especially in Arms Manufacturing, Woodchip Exports, Retail, and Uranium Mining. State-owned companies are reasonably common. Average income is an amazing 228,029 Fish Coins, but there is a significant disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 725,284 per year while the poor average 54,580, a ratio of 13.3 to 1.

Flags are commonly used as bonfire kindling, sneezing pedestrians are grabbed by alley-lurking doctors, we all come from the sea, and the banshee wail foretells skies of death. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. ForFishing's national animal is the Fish, which teeters on the brink of extinction due to heavy metals seepage into national waterways.

ForFishing is ranked 104,137^th in the world and 1,642^nd in The North Pacific for Highest Drug Use, scoring 168.38 on the Pineapple Fondness Rating.
